Without Insulation Other hot and cold packs are uninsulated and therefore lose equal energy through both sides of the pack. This not only makes the pack uncomfortable to hold, but the rapid loss of energy greatly decreases the packs length of use.

With Insulation ColdStar, the original Jack Frost Labs, Inc. is the original developer of this insulation technique. By placing a layer of insulation underneath one side of the hot or cold pack, energy is retained for longer periods of time and is focused on the application site, not on the hand holding the pack!
